Tammy Strom

Tammy Strom began her career with the University in 1997 as a Financial Services Specialist, where she was committed to ensuring timely and accurate payments on behalf of the institution. Her dedication and expertise led her to advance into the role of Director of Accounts Payable, where she embraced technology, developed deep knowledge of University systems and processes, and built strong relationships across departments. Tammy consistently championed process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Tammy joined Staff Council when she served as Senior Advisor of Business Systems and Strategies within Finance & Budget, where she drove innovation efforts. She focused on streamlining University business travel and PCard activities, reducing administrative workload, and leveraging technology to improve the experience for travelers and cardholders alike.

Tammy joined the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences (CALES) in December 2025 as Business Manager to direct her talents to the academic side of the University of Arizona.

Tammy is passionate about using technology to eliminate redundant tasks and enhance the employee experience, always with an eye toward institutional success. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the beautiful Arizona environment, and proudly supporting the Wildcat family.
