Become a Representative and represent the constituents in your college, unit, or division on UArizona Staff Council. Representatives serve for a one-year renewable term, are eligible to participate in one of the 20 different University-wide committees with which UASC is involved, and are eligible to vote on UASC issues and in UASC officer elections.
The only requirements are that the employee is in an active, benefits-eligible Classified or University Staff position; the employee will be an active member attending and participating in monthly council meetings including disseminating information from council to the unit(s) they represent, and bringing forward concerns from constituents to council.
Council meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month from 2-3:30pm (subject to change). Representatives spend approximately one-to-two hours per week on UArizona Staff Council business, although officers, committee chairs, and committee members, are expected to dedicate more time as necessary.
